Who we are
Society for Consumer Trust ("SCT", "we", "us") operates the website sct.space. You can reach us at connect@sct.space with any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: if you subscribe to the Trust Pulse newsletter, your email address is collected and stored directly by our newsletter provider, Substack, not on our own servers.
- Direct emails: if you email us (for example, to ask us to add you to the newsletter manually, or for any other reason), we keep that email and its contents to respond to you and, where relevant, to add you to our subscriber list.
- Basic server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.
We do not sell your personal information.
Newsletter subscriptions (Substack)
Our newsletter sign-up form is provided directly by Substack, Inc. When you subscribe, your email address is sent straight to Substack and handled under Substack's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Every newsletter issue includes an unsubscribe link.
Third-party services
This site loads a small number of third-party resources to function:
- Google Fonts — for typography.
- Substack — for the embedded newsletter sign-up form.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) — to load the Three.js library used for the animated hero background.
Links to third-party communities and platforms (Skool, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Pinterest, Reddit) take you to those platforms' own sites, which have their own separate privacy policies.
Cookies
We do not currently use our own analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party embeds (such as the Substack sign-up form) may set cookies required for them to function, under the third party's own policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights regarding data we hold directly (such as emails sent to us), contact connect@sct.space. For data held by Substack, you can also use Substack's own tools and privacy contacts, including the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
Data retention
We keep direct emails only as long as needed to respond to you or maintain our records. Newsletter subscriber data is retained by Substack according to its own policy for as long as you remain subscribed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
